Two new oil
fields Sherkent in Bukhoro-Khiva and Sagirtau in Hissar regions were explored
in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2011.
As a
part of the targeted investment program for 2011, Uzbekneftgaz implements 39
projects, including those involving foreign investors and loans. Also as a part
of the program of industrial development in 2011-2015, the company plans to
implement 78 investment projects worth $28.6 billion. 41
projects worth $9.2 billion are still at the development stage.
