Presentation of WorleyParsons Uzbekistan Engineering was held in
Tashlent on May 12, 2011.
The
joint venture was established by WorleyParsons (Great Britain), Uztyazhneftegazkhimproyekt
(Uzbek Heavy Oil, Gas and Chemical Poject) Institute and UzLITIneftegaz,
OJSC. The venture will focus its activitiy on a number of priorities defined
in the industrial sector development programs underway in Uzbekistan.
According
to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz, the enterprise will explore and
develop new project ideas aimed at high-level processing of natural resources
involving advanced technologies and foreign partners.
The
venture will also develop optimal engineering solutions for large-scale
high-tech projects being implementd in oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical
and energy sectors and train specialists in advanced design methods.
In
additon, WorleyParsons Uzbekistan Engineering will develop projects to
upgrade, re-equip, technically and technologically, existing capacities and
attract potential partners to implement and fund the projects. It will
also develop feasibility studies in
line with the international standards and provide technical assistance in
project implementation.
A
year ago, in May 2010, WorleyParsons, Uztyazhneftegazkhimproyekt and
UzLITIneftegaz signed a memorandum of understanding on creation of the joint
venture. On February 17, 2011, the sides approved the charter and constituent
agreement of the joint venture WorleyParsons Uzbekistan Engineering.
On
March 31, 2011, the government approved a resolution ¡°On creation of the
enterprise with foreign investment WorleyParsons Uzbekistan Engineering. On
April 25, 2011, WorleyParsons Uzbekistan Engineering JV LLC was registered
with the Ministry of Justice and received a certificate of registration of
legal entity.
